Advantages of Day Surgery
- The patient is not hospitalized.
- The patient does not undergo the traditional process of admission – bed placement – surgery – stay in the surgical ward – discharge.
- In the day surgery system, the patient should not come into contact with other patients.
- The stay does not exceed 24 hours; the patient undergoes surgery, post-operative monitoring, an overnight stay, and is discharged the following morning.
- Compared to hospitalization, day surgery shows no significant differences in treatment outcomes.
- The patient does not have to observe the difficulties of other patients.
- The patient is not exposed to changes in daily routines and habits.
- Return to normal daily activities is faster.
- The duration of sick leave is shortened.
- With proper care and minimized risk of hospital-acquired infections, recovery is faster.
- The same level of safety is maintained as in inpatient surgical facilities.
Day Surgery – Procedures
Procedures are predominantly performed using minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques:
Cholecystectomy – laparoscopic gallbladder removal (gallbladder surgery)
Laparoscopic Appendectomy – performed in cases of so-called chronic inflammation
Inguinal Hernia Surgery – performed using the TAPP method, a modern laparoscopic procedure using surgical mesh
Umbilical Hernias – treated conventionally with Mayo repair or with the use of mesh
Other Abdominal Hernias – treated both openly and laparoscopically
Incisional Hernias – treated both openly and laparoscopically
Surgical procedures are performed in a modern, fully equipped operating room.
Operations are carried out by an experienced, highly trained, and coordinated surgical team with more than 30 years of experience in both general and minimally invasive surgery.
We use the latest surgical materials and technology during procedures.
Our laparoscopic system includes the EinsteinVision® 3D camera system by Aesculap.
Experience, responsibility, and a personal approach to every patient guarantee high-quality procedures and a safe postoperative stay.
Postoperative care is provided in premium facilities under the supervision of attentive medical staff.
